While COVID-19 is rightly at the front of all our minds, Cape Byron Medical Centre encourages local businesses to take a proactive approach to the upcoming 2020 flu season. Now, more than ever, we need to find ways to take care of our teams.
Vaccinating is an effective way to reduce incidences of influenza, decreasing absenteeism due to flu by over 40% in some businesses. Absenteeism currently costs the Australian economy about $7 billion, while the cost of presenteeism (where employees are sick on the job) is approximately $34 billion through lost productivity*.
As our businesses evolve to meet the current circumstances, we encourage you to consider on-site or in clinic vaccinations for your staff (subject to our assessment), allowing you to ensure the safety of your whole team, with minimum disruption.
Our immunisation team of General Practitioners and Registered Nurses follow strict protocol to ensure the safety of recipients.
Our team will either visit your workplace or welcome your employees to our clinic at a time that suits you, administering vaccinations safely and efficiently. Each vaccination costs $25 per employee and can be conveniently funded by employer, employee or offered as a co-funded initiative.
